Over the course of my life, I've suffered through two knee surgeries, three episodes with kidney stones, dislocated my shoulder twice, bruised my ribs, and suffered a broken arm and foot. I recently tore my plantar fascia back in 2014... My son battled cancer and received a life-saving liver transplant at a very young age. I feel at times, that I am running on empty. Through your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement I find the fuel that I need to keep going.
Hey there! I just wanted to say great job on your run and to keep up the good work! I found you blog a couple of weeks ago, and started following because our race dates are really close! I am a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo (West Africa) and am going to run my first full marathon September 25th! I've never run more than a 5k, but I have got the time and I've been working towards it all year. I just did 16 last Saturday! I can hardly believe it! It is really encouraging to me knowing there are others out there defying the odds and trying to do the seemingly impossible. Thanks for being an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacie, anything is possible as long as you work hard towards it! Good luck on your run and stay safe! I have my 16-18 miler this weekend, argh!
