Over the course of my life, I've suffered through two knee surgeries, three episodes with kidney stones, dislocated my shoulder twice, bruised my ribs, and suffered a broken arm and foot.
My son battled cancer and received a life-saving liver transplant at a very young age. I feel at times, that I am running on empty. Through your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement I find the fuel that I need to keep going.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit my blog. Take care, stay safe and God bless!

Another wonderful morning for a run!The starting temp was just under 60f and ending temp was 82f…I got off to a late start because I overslept…Blah…
Well, I wasn’t too sure about today’s distance and didn’t think I’d finish.Negativity aside, I took off and kept pace very well.I felt really fine up until the 14 mile point; I think I blew a head gasket because that’s when the “brain-pain” kicked in…I got this really weird feeling that I was going to get a headache…Thankfully I didn’t…
Well, I have to admit that I was getting really bored out there today…I didn’t venture out of the neighborhood, as planned, but I may consider it for the next big run…So, I knocked out the 16 mile run (in the neighborhood) and only walked about a ¼ mile of it today…Good news, I didn’t run out of water…I had pre-positioned a liter of Gatorade-water mix on the front porch so I could refill my running bottles during laps…Hydration worked out much better today than last weekend.
16 @ 2:52:47 (10:48 pace).A little slower than planned, but it’s done.And, I set a new distance PR with today’s run!Have a great weekend!I’m taking a nap!
Happy running and God bless!
